Don’t cry if your team isn’t playing!  Jump on the bandwagon and make a game of it!

How to have fun watching the end of the NFL season!

What’s wrong sport?  Your team isn’t in the playoffs?  No reason to fret – there are still some exceptional games coming up that will let you squeeze every bit of fun out of the NFL season.  I know, my team is out also – but I love football and I won’t let a thing like the fact that my team sucks ruin what few games are left!  Here are some suggestions to make these weekends enjoyable:

1. Jump on another team’s bandwagon!  Trade in that Peyton Manning Jersey for a Tom Brady or Brett Favre.

2. Make a drinking game out of it! NFL announcers are notorious for phrases that are full of innuendos and questionable meaning.  Every time Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, or the like say something of an – ahem – interesting nature, drink!  If you aren’t sure if they did, drink anyhow!

3. Live for the commercials!  The Super Bowl is renowned for the awesome advertising spots!  They aren’t so bad during the playoffs either – have you seen the new Manning brothers Oreo spot?

4. Appreciate It!  Stop whining long enough to realize that it could be Brett Favre’s last season and take the time to admire his perseverance and work ethic.  Watch David (San Diego Chargers) take on Goliath (New England Patriots) and witness history – whatever the outcome.  See if the “other” Manning can go all the way.

Have fun and happy viewing!  I know I will savor these last few contests…
